Someone sent me an email yesterday with this link to an article about How to keep your man from cheating and I forwarded it to my email list. My mother replied with the following email and as I was responding to her email I decided I should post this for everyone to see and comment. Some people think I have a twisted way of thinking and I just wanted to share my thoughts and have you all chime in, especially the fellas, and tell me if I am way off with my thinking or on the money. Here is my mother’s response:

“Good Morning, I apologize for NOT setting a better example for a good marriage, but If this is in any way your concept of what it takes to make a good marriage- you will be disappointed for the duration. If this was intended as a early morning pun- I accept - I needed the laugh - but if you’re just seeking info- spend more quality time with your wife out of bedroom then in the bedroom will be more productive! It takes TWO, (2), DUO , DOSE, TWO to make it work!!”

Here is my response:
No pun intended. I believe this is very good advice for women. I’m not saying this is solely what makes for a good marriage. This is the area of the marriage that gets neglected the most and 9 times out of 10 the reason for separation. I think there should be an equal amount of time in the bedroom as well as out. After all, the man wants what goes on in the bedroom and the woman wants what goes on outside of the bedroom(I didn’t make this up that’s just how it is). Most of the time it turns out that the woman gets what she wants outside of the bedroom but the man ain’t getting what he wants in the bedroom and this can only continue for so long. I agree totally that it takes 2, that’s why women need to keep what this lady says in mind so they can remember to do their part. See, I think I have figured out the problem… Instead of women understanding, accepting, and embracing the nature of man, they want to argue with it and make the man feel like he’s wrong about it and try to change it cause its wrong in their eyes. GOD made man visually excitable and sexually aggressive(trust me this is NOT by choice of man beacuse man honestly would rather not have to deal with a woman). That means, all it takes is for a man to see what he likes to be turned on. When it comes to that, it really doesn’t matter who the woman is. However, a man really wants the one woman he wants, that’s why he marries her. At that point, all she has to do is continue to be the figure in his eyes that’s turning him on(like she did before the marriage, obviously she won the battle of all the other women he could have chosen) and she will get everything she wants and he will only have the desire for her. But Noooooooooo… She wants to focus on all the problems and issues and make everything else more important to where she doesn’t have the time or the desire to be that excitement in his eyes and soon it will be very easy for another woman to become it. And that’s all I believe this article is saying, don’t make it easy for another woman to become the excitement in his eye, you continue to be it and everything will be alright. Now in my opinion, if women did this, they wouldn’t have half the problems that they have with their man in the first place. You remember how he use to give you everything you wanted and made you feel so special. IF YOU REALLY THINK ABOUT IT, why has that changed?
